Paper Lithography

Paper lithography is a very exciting and versatile printing technique with endless variations and possibilities. It is a very accessible form of print making using fairly simple equipment and can be done with or without a press.

I have very much embraced the raw, unpredictable nature of this process into my work. Ink marks, smudges, watermarks and drips leave fascinating textures and patterns on the paper surface. I use these as a springboard, adding drawing and other mixed media to create atmosphere, evoking a sense of place and time.
