Drawing
We draw to say something that cannot otherwise be said. To draw is to see, to learn, to understand. It is thought on the page!
One of the reasons I choose to draw is that it is the creative process in action. It shows the errors and corrections, decision and indecision, loses and wins. It not only records my subject and ideas, it also records the history of the making and can take an infinite number of forms.
Drawing for me is a constant investigation. A way of getting to know and record the qualities of what I am looking at or where I am. It is the most immediate way to capture what I see and feel and is a constantly evolving process.
A collection of drawings from different times. Some, spontaneous plein air captures, others evolved studio studies.
